Mr. Swidler uses his diverse business experience and professional training to benefit RSM Richter in a number of ways. As Managing Partner, he is responsible for the direction and strategic vision for the firm. As an Advisor to clients, he provides high-level expertise and business knowledge.

Mr. Swidler is well-regarded for his expertise and insolvency and corporate restructuring. He devotes a significant amount of his time to this complex area providing creative solutions to challenging financial problems. He has been instrumental in restructuring many important Canadian businesses. Mr. Swidler has acted on behalf of financial institutions and private equity funds.

Professional Involvement

Mr. Swidler has addressed various professional bodies and he participated in seminar panels. He is a past-President and founding Director of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals. He was a founding member and Vice President and Director of The Insolvency Institute of Canada. He is active in the community and is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.

Mr. Swidler is a FCA and a member of the Ordre des comptables agr The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. Mr. Swidler is a FCIRP of the Canadian Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals.

Education

Mr. Swidler obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University (1965) and his Bachelor of Civil Law from McGill University (1969).
